New Match - Arsenal
A message when Arsenal Player puts the full match up. Never the score.

I built this for United, my own club, and a friend who follows Arsenal asked whether it would work for them too. It does. Arsenal Player puts every match up in full some time after the final whistle - a few hours, the next day, occasionally two - and never says when. So you keep checking. And checking is how you run into the score you were trying to avoid.
The replay is the whole match as it happened, on the club's own channel and with the club's own people on it: biased, warm, entirely on your side. That is the part a neutral broadcast cannot give you, and it is why the replay is worth waiting for even when you could have watched it live.
So this is the same thing, for Arsenal: a message when the replay is up, a link straight to it, and nothing else in it. Watching needs a free Arsenal Digital Membership, though you have to be logged in.
You get the title, the date and a link. Never the score, never the club's summary, never a thumbnail that gives the celebration away. And when the club puts the result in its own title or address, the line under it says so.
How to get told
The simplest way is a notification on this device, like the ones the club's app sends but with nothing in it. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for: your browser hands out an anonymous address, and that is all that is kept. Turn it off here and it is deleted.
On an iPhone or iPad, Apple only offers notifications once a site has been added to the home screen. It takes three taps:
- Tap the share button at the bottom of Safari.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
- Open New Match from the home screen and turn notifications on there.
Reading this on a computer? The notification lands on whichever device you turn it on, so if you would rather have it on your phone, open newmatch.nu there and follow the steps it shows.
If a notification never turns up, the computer itself may be silencing the browser without the site being told. On a Mac that is System Settings → Notifications, where Chrome and Firefox each have one switch for the whole browser and Safari lists this site on its own. On a phone it rarely gets in the way.
